A question game for friends

Past the Small Talk

Ask what you would not usually think to ask. Receive the answer without turning it into a performance.

Before you begin, agree on four things.

Anyone can pass. Nobody fixes an answer. Nothing is scored. Personal stories stay with the people in the room unless permission is given to share them.

Who is here?

Shape the turn language for the room.

What mood?

Choose the depth that fits tonight.

How long?

Stop while you still want one more.

Keep the invitation honest. This is for adults aged 18+. Do not use the game to extract disclosure, settle a conflict by surprise, test loyalty, or push past somebody’s no.
Card 1 of 5
Passing is always allowed

Try: “Tell me more, if you want to.” The last four words are part of the question.

Session complete

Leave with something newly known.

You do not need to summarise the friendship. End with one small sentence that feels true.

Something I am glad I know about you now is…
