A Life of Your Own.
A loving course for the crossing after a romantic ending—and the life that begins to belong to you again.
The relationship ended, but your life did not. This course stays beside you through the shock, the missing, the empty space and the unfamiliar freedom, until the future stops feeling like a place you were left and begins to feel like somewhere you can live.
The ending made space.
You will learn to live in it.
This is not a course about becoming desirable enough to make somebody regret leaving. It does not turn heartbreak into a dramatic reinvention or ask you to be grateful before you are ready. It helps you meet the actual days after a breakup: the mind that circles, the body that struggles, the home that remembers, and the choices that slowly become yours again.
A breakup can make the whole future look like absence. But absence is only the first name for newly opened space. With time, care and honest action, the space begins to take your shape.
5 Modules. 15 distinct lessons.
The sequence moves from surviving the first reality of the break to inhabiting a future that is genuinely yours. It makes room for grief, but it does not build a home there.
Meet the first days without turning their pain into a prophecy. Understand why the mind keeps reopening the ending, and create distance that protects recovery rather than trying to provoke a return.
Separate longing from instruction, honour the future you had already begun to live in your imagination, and recognise progress even when grief revisits unexpectedly.
Help your home, body and support network adjust to the new reality. Turn empty space into practical welcome rather than a permanent memorial to who is gone.
Return ordinary decisions, private pleasure and accurate self-worth to your own hands. Remember who you are beyond being chosen—or not chosen—by one person.
Create a near future that is believable enough to begin, carry hard-won wisdom into future love, and step toward a life that bears your values, rhythms and name.
A Life of Your Own.
You do not have to stop loving what mattered in order to begin loving the life that remains.

Is this the same as After the Marriage?
No. After the Marriage holds the particular identity, family and structural losses that follow the end of a marriage. This course is for any romantic breakup and concentrates on the forward crossing: contact boundaries, daily space, agency, pleasure, identity and building a new life.
Will this tell me to stop loving my former partner?
No. Feelings are not treated as failures here. You can continue to care, miss or feel tenderness while also accepting the ending and protecting your recovery. The course helps you distinguish a feeling from an action.
What if we must remain in contact?
The course does not prescribe absolute no-contact. Where children, work, property or safety considerations require communication, it helps you create practical, predictable contact with clearer emotional limits.
What if the relationship was abusive or I feel unsafe?
Your safety comes before reflective course work. Please seek specialist domestic-abuse support, legal advice or emergency help appropriate to your location. Do not use breakup advice to negotiate privately with someone who may harm or control you.
Is this therapy?
No. It is a written educational course with reflection and practice. It can sit alongside therapy, but it cannot assess risk, diagnose distress or replace professional mental-health, medical, legal or crisis support.
How should I take the course?
Move in order and slowly enough to practise. Each of the 15 lessons includes a saved reflection and one concrete action. If a lesson overwhelms you, pause, return to ordinary care and seek human support before continuing.
A course by Olivia Fox, founder of My Inner Foundation. She writes about what she has lived, worked through herself, and sat with in others, translating real inner work and years of supporting people through these exact struggles into language that is precise, honest, and genuinely useful.
