Who We Are

My Inner Foundation provides self-paced educational and reflective courses through its website and iOS app. References to "we", "us", or "our" refer to My Inner Foundation, acting as data controller for personal data processed through these services.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, enrol in a course, use a membership, or contact us — including your name, email address, authentication details, support messages, purchase and entitlement records, and course progress.

The iOS app stores course progress, saved items, and journal or reflection entries locally on your device unless a feature expressly says that information is sent to our services. We also process the Supabase account identifier and session information needed to sign you in and check access.

We collect limited technical data automatically — such as IP address, browser or device type, pages or screens visited, session information, and operational error data — to operate and secure the services. We do not use personal data for advertising tracking in the iOS app. Any change to this will be reflected here and in App Store privacy disclosures.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to create and secure accounts, deliver course content, check membership entitlements, process and reconcile purchases, restore Apple purchases, track progress where enabled, provide support, send service communications, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the services. Our legal bases may include contract performance, legitimate interests, consent for optional communications, and legal obligation.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your course progress. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

Data Sharing

We share personal data only where needed to operate the services: with Supabase for authentication and database services; with Apple for App Store subscriptions and transaction processing; with Paddle.com Market Limited for website purchases as our web Merchant of Record; with hosting, email, security, and support providers; with professional advisers; and with authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising in the iOS app.

International Transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

Data Retention

We retain account, purchase, entitlement, support, and security records for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, meet accounting or legal obligations, and enforce our terms. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymised. Local journal, reflection, and progress data may remain on your device until you clear it or delete the app.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. EU/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority. To exercise rights, contact hello@myinnerfoundation.com; we aim to respond within one month.

Support & Account Deletion

You can start account deletion from the signed-in iOS app. If you cannot access the app, visit Support & Account Deletion or email support@myinnerfoundation.com. We may verify ownership before processing the request. Account and associated personal data are deleted or anonymised subject to records we must retain for legal, tax, fraud prevention, security, transaction history, dispute resolution, or compliance purposes. Apple subscriptions must be cancelled separately in Apple account settings, and local device data must be cleared on the device.

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular review — to protect personal data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the site.
