Being Emotionally Available
Learn to be present, reachable and honest without losing yourself.
Emotional availability is the capacity to stay present with feeling without controlling, disappearing, or making another person carry your discomfort.
The work beneath
Being Emotionally Available.
Emotional availability is not a personality type. It is the capacity to notice feeling, remain reachable and let another person matter without being swallowed by the moment. Many unavailable behaviours began as intelligent protection.
This course does not shame the wall. It helps you understand what built it, practise staying a little longer and create forms of openness that do not require either performance or self-erasure.
Emotional availability is the capacity to stay present with feeling without controlling, disappearing, or making another person carry your discomfort.
5 Modules. Fifteen practical lessons.
The five modules move from understanding the pattern to practising a different way of living it. Each lesson includes reflection and a concrete next step.
Define availability through observable behaviours: responsiveness, curiosity, emotional naming, repair and the ability to stay reachable.
Trace shutdown, intellectualising, fixing, humour, busyness and withdrawal back to the situations in which they once kept you safe.
Build tolerance for another person’s emotion without rushing to solve it, minimise it or escape the room.
Share your inner experience in honest, proportionate ways so the relationship is not forced to infer everything from silence.
Use pacing, privacy and limits to make openness sustainable rather than turning availability into permanent access.
